Jesus calms a storm: How it should have ended

A dynamically equivalent translated paraphrase

And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. (For they only had one)

And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”(they weren't asking for help, they were shocked at his nonchalant attitude towards their impending death)

And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “SHUT UP!”(well that's not exactly word for word but probably a good dynamic equivalent translation) And the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”

And they were all afraid and said to one another, “Whats wrong with this guy? How can he sleep peacefully whilst at the edge of death?" And they were also a little bit annoyed at the fact that Jesus rebuked them for the very natural feeling of not wanting to die. But mostly they were just happy to be alive. And so they went and changed their trousers and promised always to look at a weather report before sailing again.
